We recently came across an article written by Toranse, a blogger self-described as a “queer ex-Christian and survivor of abuse.” In this article, the author highlights contradictions she perceives in many churches in regards to female beauty standards, the idea of “worldly” vs. “spiritual,” and the meaning of the word “purity.”
